“We have been delighted with the service, communication and rate reduction obtained by CVS. This has all been achieved at no cost or work on our behalf, only a percentage of money that they have recovered for us. There is also the important fact that we are now being charged the correct rateable value giving us savings for the foreseeable future.”

Upon instruction, one of CVS’ Senior Surveyors, Tim Burton, carried out a full and thorough inspection of F. H. Warden’s Premises in Landor Street, Birmingham. CVS then negotiated with the VOA on behalf of F. H. Warden to ensure a fair Rateable Value was calculated. As a result CVS secured them savings of £4,750 per annum in business rates.

CVS Comment:

“We had inspected the subject property for our Client and we had recognised that the area of land in assessment was excessive. On the run up to the Valuation Tribunal hearing for this appeal, I arranged a meeting with my local Valuation Office contact and without recourse to the tribunal, we agreed a reduced Rateable Value based on a reduced area of land in assessment. This was a straightforward case and we just had to make sure that the areas in assessment were correct, which we did; this resulted in a reduced Rateable Value of £27,750 – the RV had been £32,600”
