"We were approached by the Rating Audit department at CVS Business Rates Specialists, as they had already carried out extensive research into our Rating history. The team had identified an opportunity to generate a significant saving for our UK Headquarters premises on Fitzroy Square, London. They arranged a short, twenty minute meeting at a location convenient for us and during the meeting it was clear that they had the facts to support their research. From this meeting, we instructed CVS to conduct our Rating Audit. It only took four weeks for the savings to be returned to Icelandair. CVS provided a smooth, professional and efficient service from start to finish and I would not hesitate to recommend this service to others."

Icelandair is a leading airline offering flights to and from Iceland, and an attractive option for cross-Atlantic flights. Icelandair provides safe, reliable flights and exceptional service on flights to metropolitan areas on both sides of the Atlantic. The airline operates out of Iceland, and uses the country’s geographical location mid-way between America and Europe, as an opportunity to build an ever-growing network of international routes with Iceland as a hub. Following a concern regarding their assessment on their UK site, they instructed CVS to complete a Rating Audit.

Results

On conducting a Rating Audit for Icelandair, we discovered the valuation applied to the client’s original assessment had been incorrectly calculated and administered by the Valuation Office Agency.

CVS Comment:

"Using our vast database and analytical reporting CVS were able to identify the assessment error and submit a case to the Valuation Office Agency. A formal appeal was not necessary because the error was not a physical issue requiring an inspection. The resultant savings could be delivered in a matter of weeks instead of going through a lengthy appeals process."
