"We were approached by CVS and they came in to explain what they could do for us. Throughout the process we have found CVS to be professional, personable and efficient. They secured us a tremendous result which was a welcome windfall."

Neil Henderson, Director, Stone Chambers

Stone Chambers is a leading set of commercial and shipping barristers, based in London and Singapore, specialising in international commercial litigation and arbitration. Stone Chambers have barristers recommended in the major UK legal directories as leaders in the fields of international commercial arbitration, commercial litigation, shipping and commodities to name a few. They instructed CVS to conduct a Rating Audit to ensure their liability was correct.

Stone Chambers, received savings over £99,000 only six weeks after CVS identified a rates error on their West London offices. The direct result was an immediate cancellation of the transitional charge which generated credits for the whole of the 2000 – 2005 Rating List.

CVS Comment:

"We identified that a reconstitution of the Client’s assessment in 2001 had not been issued with the correct transitional certificate. Whilst the Client would have received a refund from the original reconstitution, the savings had not been maximised. The auditor dealing with the case was able to highlight the relevant legislation to the Valuation Office Agency who subsequently issued the correct transitional certificate, generating additional savings of £99,079 including interest on the overpayment."
